Choice in Supports for Independent Living
CSIL is a self-directed option for eligible home support clients in British Columbia. It gives eligible people more control over who provides their personal assistance, when services are provided, and how their support is managed.
A self-directed approach to home support
Under CSIL, the health authority provides funding to the CSIL employer, who is responsible for arranging and managing authorized home support services. The employer may be the client, a CSIL representative, or an eligible client support group.
More choice
Clients can choose care providers and determine how scheduled personal assistance is delivered.
